The Green Goblin is a name shared by several fictional supervillains that appear in comic books published by Marvel Comics.

The character first appeared in Amazing Spider-Man #14 (July 1964), and was created by writer Stan Lee and artist Steve Ditko.

He is an enemy of Spider-Man.

The original and current Green Goblin is Norman Osborn. After a serum enhanced industrialist Norman Osborn's physical abilities and intellect but also drove him insane, he adopted a Halloween themed appearance, dressing in a goblin costume and using an arsenal of high-tech weapons, notably grenade-like "Pumpkin Bombs" while riding on a bat-shaped "Goblin glider" to terrorize New York City.
